Garnet
is a reusable blasting media with angular particles,
which also has an iron content. It is a natural sand
with
an
aggressive effect. Because of the iron content, this
blasting media should not be used on stainless steel or
non-ferrous metals. Garnet is suitable above all for
blasting applications in the open, as a disposable
blasting media
for
the removal of existing coatings, rust and other
impurities, and is a very low-cost blasting media.
Blasting systems:
-Injection blast cabinets
-Pressure blast systems
Applications:
-Blast-cleaning
-Rust
removal
-Roughening
-Paint-stripping
-Sweeping
-High-pressure water jet cutting medium
